Every year the De La Salle Junior Rugby League community raises funds for an end-of-season trip for their Under 16s.
The mission this year is to go west, with empty eskies, to spend where it’s needed and play a local footy team – like footy trips of old used to.
The team has organised to travel out to Coonamble and meet up with First Nations footy players from the Clontarf Foundation. They’ll play a friendly game and enjoy a BBQ together afterwards.
The boys have been raising funds, but with the rough weather and short footy season eating into efforts, they know they’re going to need sponsors to get them there – and back!
