Working with Children

It’s vital that all volunteers  involved in working directly with a team (i.e. trainers, managers, coaches) get their Working With Children Check done or renewed. A Working With Children Check is a requirement for people who work or volunteer in child-related work. It involves a national criminal history check and a review of findings of workplace misconduct. The ramifications are high with fines up to 50k.

The process for the check is quite simple.

How to apply Online

For more information visit the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian website.

01.

Apply for a WWC here. When you have completed the application form, you will receive an Application number (APP) by email.

02.

Take this Application number and proof of your identity to a NSW motor registry or NSW Government Access Centre to confirm your identity.

03.

Once your application has been processed and you are cleared, you will receive your Working With Children Check number (WWC) by email (or post if you do not have an email address). This is free to all volunteers.

04.

Once you have completed the above process and you have received your WWC number, please email it to wwc@delasallejrlfc.com.au, along with your date of birth. Our Working With Children Officer will process this against your club registration and you will then be compliant.
